About vocational programmes

A vocational programme prepares you to seek a job right after graduation. However, you could also choose to continue your studies. On this page, you can read about what is required to gain professional qualification and meet the general entry requirements after a vocational programme.

Professional qualification

A vocational programme leads to professional qualification. To obtain professional qualification, you need

  • 2 500–2 800 credits (depending on the programme selected), of which 2 250 credits must be with a passing grade
  • a passing grade in Swedish or Swedish as a second language level 1, English level 1, and mathematics level 1a
  • a passing grade in 400 credits of the programme-specific subjects
  • a passing grade on your diploma project.

Meeting general entry requirements after a vocational programme

To meet the general entry requirements for higher education, you need:

  • professional qualification
  • a passing grade (minimum E) in Swedish (levels 2 and 3) or Swedish as a second language (levels 2 and 3) and in English (level 2).
