The programme is suitable for individuals who like to work hand-on with the creation of a product.
What you will learn in the programme
You will work with handicraft and production crafts.
You will learn about the process of production and how machines and tools can be used. This could include designing and making objects, assembly and welding.
You will also learn how to maintain and handle machines and tools safely.
You will learn about different manufacturing methods and you will gain knowledge about different materials used in production, such as wood and metal.
In the programme, you will learn how to work with others and interact with customers in a service-oriented manner.
Occupational health and safety issues are important in the programme to prevent work-related injuries and to ensure good health.
You will study theoretical subjects, such as Swedish, mathematics and English. You also learn through practical exercises.
You will practice and use the knowledge you gain on the programme in a workplace. This is called work-based learning (arbetsplatsförlagt lärande, APL).
