Society, Nature and Language Programme
The Society, Nature and Language Programme is for anyone who wants to know more about how society works and how different conditions and circumstances affect people, nature and society.

The programme is suitable for individuals who want to learn more about the interplay between sustainable development and health. Language and communication are also an important part of the programme. After the programme, you will be able to work in areas such as service, maintenance or reuse.
What you will learn in the programme
You will be given the opportunity to learn more about how society works in Sweden and the rest of the world. You will think about and reflect on various social issues, democracy and gender equality.
You will develop your knowledge of how people lived in the past and how they live today.
In the programme, you will learn more about interconnections in nature and the human body.
You will think about and reflect on various ethical issues and issues of sustainable development and health.
By reading, listening and discussing literature, you will have an opportunity to develop your language.
You will also write your own texts. You will practise your ability to communicate in Swedish and English.
Occupational health and safety issues are important in the programme to prevent work-related injuries and to ensure good health.
You will study theoretical subjects, such as Swedish, mathematics and English. You also learn through practical exercises.
You will practice and use the knowledge you gain on the programme in a workplace. This is called work-based learning (arbetsplatsförlagt lärande, APL).
Programme objectives
The programme objectives describe what you should be able to do once you have received an upper secondary school certificate after a certain national programme in the upper secondary school for pupils with intellectual disabilities.
