The Trade and Service Programme is for anyone wanting to work in retail trade. You can also choose this programme if you want to work in a warehouse. The programme is suitable for individuals who enjoy working with service and thrive when interacting with other people.

What you will learn in the programme
You will learn about service, sales and the flow of goods. You will get the opportunity to learn how to work with the transport and distribution of goods, known as logistics.
The programme will also teach you about marketing and how you can develop operations. Knowledge of different products and industries is also part of what you will learn.
You will have the opportunity to learn about communication and customer service.
You will learn how to handle equipment and tools that can be used in retail trade. The programme will train you to work with others and to provide good service to people. Occupational health and safety issues are important in the programme to prevent work-related injuries and to ensure good health.
You will study theoretical subjects, such as Swedish, mathematics and English. You also learn through practical exercises.
You will practice and use the knowledge you gain on the programme in a workplace. This is called work-based learning (arbetsplatsförlagt lärande, APL).

The programme objectives describe what you should be able to do once you have received an upper secondary school certificate after a certain national programme in the upper secondary school for pupils with intellectual disabilities.
