What you will learn in the programme
You will learn about human development and the different needs of people of different ages.
You will gain knowledge about health and social care.
You will also learn about health and ill health. In addition, you will learn about how lifestyle choices affect health.
The programme gives you the opportunity to develop knowledge about human rights and reflect on democratic values and various ethical issues.
You will learn how to work and interact with others, and how to provide good service to people of different ages.
Occupational health and safety issues are important in the programme to prevent work-related injuries and to ensure good health.
You will study theoretical subjects, such as Swedish, mathematics and English. You also learn through practical exercises.
You will practice and use the knowledge you gain on the programme in a workplace. This is called work-based learning (arbetsplatsförlagt lärande, APL).
