If you are interested in working in the maintenance of outdoor environments, such as parks and common areas, this programme is for you. You can also work in specialised trade, such as DIY stores, or in businesses that deal with recycling or reuse. The programme is suitable for individuals who enjoy working with other people and are service-oriented.

What you will learn in the programme

You will train in different tasks in the fields of construction, property maintenance and groundwork. The programme will teach you how to maintain properties and facilities, both inside and out. Indoors, this may involve repairs, janitorial services and painting. Outdoors, you may be involved in green space maintenance, groundwork and playground repairs.

You will learn how to handle different tools properly and safely and how to care for the different tools.

The programme will train you to work with other people and teach you how to provide good service.
Occupational health and safety issues are an important element of the programme to ensure that you stay healthy and learn how to prevent work-related injuries and accidents.

You will study theoretical subjects, such as Swedish, mathematics and English. You also learn through practical exercises.

You will practice and use the knowledge you gain on the programme in a workplace. This is called work-based learning (arbetsplatsförlagt lärande, APL).
