What you will learn in the programme
You will have the opportunity to learn about cooking, baking and serving. You will learn about food handling and how to work in different types of kitchens.
The programme will also teach you about hygiene, nutrition, special diets and serving alcohol.
You will work with a variety of tasks that will train you to work in a hotel.
You will learn to work with others and provide good service to customers and guests.
Occupational health and safety issues are important in the programme to prevent work-related injuries and to ensure good health.
You will study theoretical subjects, such as Swedish, mathematics and English. You also learn through practical exercises.
You will practice and use the knowledge you gain on the programme in a workplace. This is called work-based learning (arbetsplatsförlagt lärande, APL).
