What you will learn in the HVAC-R and Property Maintenance Programme
In the HVAC-R and Property Maintenance Programme, you will combine practical work and a creative focus on solutions with the ability to plan and carry out different types of assignments. The work can be carried out, for example, at companies, in people's homes, or as part of construction projects.
Through the programme, you will learn to develop and maintain properties. You will learn how the systems that manage energy supply, water/wastewater, heating, cooling and ventilation work, how to maintain and install them, and how to find and repair faults. You will also learn how buildings can save energy and be environmentally sustainable. You can also work with the area around a property to help create a pleasant environment and preserve cultural environments and buildings.
You will learn about the whole chain of work – from idea and planning to managing a property to ensure it functions optimally. You will practise your ability to plan and carry out the work using both new and proven methods. You will also learn to document and quality assure your work. In addition, you will learn how to work both independently and with others, and how to interact with customers in a professional manner. You will also learn about the possibilities of running your own business.
The programme places great emphasis on occupational health and safety issues to avoid work-related injuries and to build good health.
It was this programme that would let me use my brain instead of just doing physical work, even though that is part of the job. I simply wanted to be able to use my brain, think and come up with my own tricks and ideas.
